Regarding the media coverage of “Changes to the Chief Bodyguard of the Presidential Palace; Liu Hui-chien was Arranged to be Promoted”, Ministry of National Defense hereby solemnly declares that the various personnel adjustments are conducted in accordance with the “Enforcement Rules of the Act of Assignment for Officers and Noncommissioned Officers of the Armed Forces” and “Candidate Transfer Procedure Regulations for Important Armed Forces Ranks”, and comprehensively consider factors including tenure and missions to uphold the principal of equal and just; a personnel evaluation committee is then convened, where candidates are recommended after co-evaluation from the committee members. Ministry of National Defense hereby requests media to refrain from making speculations and conducting false coverage’s regarding important Armed Forces personnel adjustments that may create confusion among the public.
